How Do Add a Knocki to My Account?

Connecting a Knocki device to your Knocki account involves a few steps as outlined below:

1. Make sure your Knocki device powers on and blinks orange shortly after powering on.  Once you've confirmed this, power Knocki back off. If Knocki does not blink orange shortly after powering on, see this article. 
2. Open the Knocki app using your smartphone (available to download for iOS and for Android).
3. Sign in to your Knocki account, or register for an account if you don't already have one.
4. From the Knocki app, tap the blue '+' icon next to "Add a Knocki".
5. The app will then guide you through the set up process:
6.  First, you'll select the location where your Knocki will "live".  This will help you remember where you've mounted your Knocki.  The location includes the geographic location (home, office), as well as the room and surface. 
7. Next, the app will provide you with video instructions to mount the mounting bracket for your Knocki.   Here are suggestions for how and where to mount your Knocki.
8. After the bracket is mounted, power on your Knocki device and once again make sure it's blinking orange which it will continue to do for five minutes.
9. While Knocki is blinking orange, follow the in-app instructions to connect Knocki to your account.  You'll be able to connect to Knocki's WiFi by scanning a bar code from its packaging, or if you prefer, the app also offers the option to manually enter Knocki's serial number in order to connect to it.
10. The Knocki app will then connect to Knocki's WiFi, after which you'll be prompted to enter your own WiFi network name and password which the app will transmit to Knocki.
11. While Knocki initially connects to your WiFi network, it will blink white a few times.  Once it stops blinking white, check the app to see if Knocki has successfully connected! 
12. After you've connected Knocki to your account, you'll have the ability to add gestures to your Knocki, and then assign tasks to those gestures!
