Knocki is a "living" device.
What this means is that Knocki will continue to get better over time with new features arriving even after you've set it up and started using it! Updates are regularly released to Knocki devices through OTA or "over-the-air" updates. These are pushed-out wirelessly and automatically.
New Hardware Features
Turbo Mode: This mode speeds-up Knocki response time, thereby decreasing the time between your tapping a surface and the corresponding tasks firing. This feature is not enabled by default as it consumes battery life at a higher rate than the default mode. (Already Released: Late 2018)
Passive Mode: This mode fundamentally changes how Knocki works. Instead of actively listening for "gestures" which are specific patterns you tap on a surface, in passive mode Knocki responds to any vibration, firing off a single task or an entire task list that you define. This is perfect for getting an alert if a door is knocked, or the garage door opens.
LAN Capability: This was a stretch-goal set during our Kickstarter campaign. LAN capability allows Knocki to communicate on your local network, even if there's no internet connection. LAN functionality works through HTTP requests, and this feature is in active development! (Target: early 2018)
New Mobile Features
Knocki's mobile app for iOS and Android will receive ongoing updates that are available to you through the App Store and Play Store.
Here are a few of our most recent mobile app updates.
Mode Management: In order to support "Turbo Mode", "Sleep Mode", and "Passive Mode", we've add a mode management feature under device settings.
Hardware Stats: We've added battery voltage stats to the device settings page.
Activity Feed: You can now see a log of all tasks that are triggered by Knocki devices in your account. This feature can be found in the main menu.
