About Deactivated Tasks
In your Knocki account, If you've created a task that depends on a 3rd party service that is no longer linked to your Knocki account, your task will be deactivated until you reactivate the task by relinking the 3rd party service.
Why would a 3rd Party Service Get Unlinked?
There are a two ways a 3rd-party service can get unlinked from your Knocki account:
- Manual Unlinking: The Knocki app gives you the ability to manually unlink 3rd party services from your Knocki account.
- Automatic Unlinking: In some cases, the 3rd party service becomes automatically unlinked from your Knocki account. This can happen for various reasons including changes to the API, or other technical updates that affacet how Knocki works with the 3rd party service.
How to Reactivate a Task
In order to reactivate a task, you must manually re-link it's associated 3rd-party service to your Knocki account.
In the Knocki app, you can identify tasks that are unlinked by going to the gesture that the task is assigned to, and observing a purple "notification bar" beneath the task (as shown in this article).
To relink the task, tap the blue "Re-Link" option, and you will be prompted to sign in to the service that you wish to re-link. Make sure to sign-in with the same account details that your task is associated with. After signing into the service, the task should automatically relink.
If you see the purple bar, but don't see a relink option, please tap the arrow on the top-right of the task to expand the task card. The "Re-Link" option should then be visible.
What if I can't Reactivate the Task?
If you're not able to reactivate the task, you may delete the task and recreate it.
