Knocki's patented mounting system makes it easy to mount Knocki to any solid surface, and then to later remove Knocki without damaging the surface. Knocki must be used in conjunction with the mounting bracket to ensure proper functionality.
Mounting Bracket Instructions: Complete Overview
Included with your Knocki, you'll find a mounting kit containing a mounting bracket, 3M adhesive strips, and screws. If you need replacement mounting hardware, you can order it here.
The mounting kit provides to options to attach the mounting bracket to a surface - screws or 3M strips. After the mounting bracket is attached to a surface, Knocki simply snaps on the bracket!
How to Secure the Mounting Bracket to a Surface
Mounting the Bracket With 3M Strips
Using the 3M strips is ideal for mounting to furniture, doors, or any other surface you want keep in perfect condition. Please note that 3M strips work best on smooth surfaces.
To mount the bracket using 3M strips follow the instruction in the video and steps below:
- Stick the 3M strips onto the mounting bracket with the side of the 3M strips with the red peel-aways facing the bracket and the black peel-aways facing the surface you are mounting to.
- Attach the bracket to the mounting surface before Knocki is attached to the bracket.
- Press the mounting bracket firmly into the surface to ensure the 3M strips have good contact with the surface.
- Snap Knocki onto the bracket!
Tip: for best adhesion, press the mounting bracket firmly against the surface and then wait a few minutes before snapping on the knocki.
To remove a mounting bracket that is secured with 3M strips to a surface, first unsnap Knocki from the bracket and then pull down and stretch away the removal tabs as shown in the video below.
Mounting the Bracket with Screws
Mounting with screws is the preferred method when attaching Knocki to rough or grainy surfaces such as underneath a particle board table.
Simply hold the bracket against the wall, and drive the screws into the screw slots. The screw slots are designed to allow the bracket to be rotated slightly after the screws are attached and prior to tightening the screws all the way down.
Attaching and Separating the Knocki device and the Bracket
To attach Knocki to the mounting bracket, simply press it firmly into the mounting bracket. Then, to remove Knocki from the mounting bracket, simply pull Knocki away from the mounting bracket (or if the bracket isn't on a surface, pull the bracket away from Knocki!
