Your Knocki can lose its internet connection and go "offline" for a variety of reasons.
By reviewing the possible causes below, you should be able to identify the reason your Knocki can’t connect and re-establish a connection.
Reasons Knocki Might Go Offline
- Knocki is turned off: If Knocki is turned off, it will go offline. Please make sure the device is powered on.
- Knocki's batteries need to be replaced: Knocki needs a fresh set of batteries every few months. If Knocki's batteries run out, Knocki will go "offline" and the batteries will need to be replaced.
- Knocki has lost its connection to your WiFi network: If Knocki can no longer go online, it may need to be reconnected. See "Reconnect Network" for more details.
- Make sure Knocki has a strong WiFi connection. It must be within range of the router's signal.
- Make sure your WiFi network name or password has not changed. If it has, you may need to update the WiFi name and/or password your Knocki is using.
- Knocki has been unlinked from your account. Please make sure your Knocki device is listed in your Knocki account. If it is not, your device is no longer linked to your account, and you will need to add the Knocki to your account. To do this, you must first make sure your device's indicator light is blinking orange. This orange blinking light indicates it is ready to be added to your Knocki account.
- Knocki device is in "provisioning mode": Knocki might have "forgotten" the WiFi network. When this happens, Knocki's indicator light will blink orange. This means your device needs to be reconnected.
